What is Latino DVD 5?
Latino DVD 5 is a full day of informational presentations and discussions dedicated to the booming Latino home entertainment industry in the United States.
The conference will feature panels about the Latin home entertainment marketplace at large, a market research session, a product showcase, luncheon, a talent panel with filmmakers and a keynote address from a celebrity speaker. With this year’s theme, Tuning in to Latino DVD, the confab will take a look at the dominance of music behind Latino films from music-themed dramas and documentaries to feature films, supported by hot soundtracks featuring popular Latin artists.
When and where will Latino DVD 5 take place?

Who attends Latino DVD 5?
The annual Latino DVD conference draws a range of attendees from all over the country and Mexico, including the major Hollywood studios, independent studios, Latino DVD suppliers, DVD and video content distributors, retailers, market research analysts and press.
What are the Fourth Annual Latino DVD Awards?
Latino DVD 5 also includes a ceremony presenting the winners of the Fourth Annual Latino DVD Awards.
These awards honor Latino DVD releases that came to market in calendar year 2007 and are judged on the entire DVD treatment: sound and picture, menu design, ease of use, navigation, bonus materials, packaging, etc. Winners are determined by a panel of DVD-industry critics. These are the 9 categories:
- Best Theatrical DVD
- Best Nontheatrical DVDBest Classic
- Best Children’s DVD
- Best TV DVD
- Best Music DVD
- Best Boxed Set/Collector’s Edition
- Best Packaging
- Best Special Features/Bonus Material

How do I register for Latino DVD 5?
Please visit the registration page for all your registration options. Advance registration ends April 7, 2008. Registration fees will increase after this date. You may also register on-site at the conference, but to ensure a smooth check-in process on-site, we encourage you to pre-register.
How much will it cost to attend?
Advance registration fees are $295 for DEG and EMA members and The Hollywood Reporter subscribers, and $345 for all others. Advance registration ends April 7. After this date, registration fees are $345 for DEG/EMA members and The Hollywood Reporter subscribers, and $395 for nonmembers and non-subscribers. What does the registration fee include?
The registration fee includes admission to all seminars and sessions, awards luncheon, and the evening cocktail party. Attendees will also receive a gift bag of Latino DVD discs.
